The second meeting of the FreeFOAM project consortium, sponsored by the European Commission, took place on the 8th of October 2013 in France and was hosted by one of the project partners ‘Polymer Expert’, which is an innovative research and develop-ment company specializing in the field of materials and polymers, at their laboratory facilities in Bordeaux.
This meeting was for the project partners to each report on their progress against the actions agreed at the first ‘kick off’ meeting held in May 2013 and to discuss and plan the next phase of activities to the end of July 2014.
Following the individual progress reports covering technical, dissemination and exploitation activities it was confirmed that the deliverables expected in the first six months of the project had been achieved. Considerable discussion on the wide aspects of the project and the next phase of development took place in respect of the hoped for benefits.
The launch of the FreeFOAM website has taken place and can be visited on https://www.freefoam-project.eu to read more fully about the project, the challenges and the progress being made by the dedicated project partners.
The Polymer Expert team were perfect hosts both formally and socially also affording all the members a detailed insight to the range of their research and development acti-vities which clearly compliments the aims and objectives of project FreeFOAM.
The Next project Steering Committee Meeting will be held in Brastislava, Slovakia in May 2014.
